Workshop: Hive & Body
Join us for the festival’s free outdoor workshops where we dance with award-winning dance artist and movement coach Sebastian Grubb.
On Friday, May 1 at 16:00 you can participate in the workshop Body, which is inspired by Grubb’s background in contemporary and integrated dance. Here you can explore the genre of Contemporary Dance & Improvisation, where partner work is a key element. The class focuses on developing spontaneous choreography through movement, improvisation and physical dialog between participants.
Saturday, May 2nd At 10:30 you can join the workshop Hive, where participants explore ensemble-based dance. They will work with group-based scores and structures, where movement emerges from images, sensations, bodily states and mutual awareness in the group. The class explores how collective movement landscapes can emerge through presence and shared listening.
The workshop is for and both workshops are free, but book tickets to ensure your participation. Dress for movement and for the weather. We will move indoors if the weather is not suitable for outdoor dancing.
