Who am I ? Who are you ? -without me…’

Is a dance-performance and an artistic exploration of who we all are as human beings,
what we activate and mirror within each other and how we act and react in the encounter with our differences and similarities.
This performance focusses on the integration and joy of divers expressions of movement within diversly functioning bodies…
On stage is four dancers with different prerequisites: A walker, a wheelchair and a handprothesis.
Testimonial:
“FIMD performed at Kulturnatten in Kolding, which was a really nice experience for us, people of Kolding!
A few minutes into the performance it hit me, that this performancegroup deserves great attention and recognition of their work and capabilities. A danceperformance consists of many elements: Choreography, the dancer’s interactions, the music, the stage and the exchange with an audience. For me, all of those elements weaved themselves into a beautiful unity.
The four dancers filled their own unique space on stage and performed with the calm and certainty that characterizes very worked through viewings. This performance has an eye-catching choreography that captured our attention.
The fact that the audience was invited onto the stage and briefly was given the opportunity to dance themselves, was received with excitement.
FIMD-dancers have different prerequisites. This performance immediately convinced us that one can dance with and despite of disabilities.
But…This performance is more than that.
It’s aesthetics is beautiful, on an artistically very high level.
And yes – Our boundaries and expectations where pushed.
We’re not used to seeing a handprothesis taken on and off, a wheelchair-user taken out of her wheelchair, but in this space it seems natural and in no ways awkward.
One should not underestimate the courage it takes, maybe mostly in the beginning that it has demanded from these dancers to go out there and put themselves as centerstage for everyone’s attention”.
