PÅ TVÆRS invites you to a workshop for everyone who wants to build a community for an integrated future. A participatory experience with conversation, creative exploration and shared reflection.

Together with artist Anna Walther and researcher in disability understandings, Olivia Dahl, we explore how we can create more inclusive conditions on a societal level for people with disabilities. We will begin the workshop with a dialogue where Anna Walther and Olivia Dahl will give their professional and practice based perspective on how we crip the future.

Afterwards, participants will work in groups to visualize existing challenges and potential opportunities using different materials. Finally, we will bring the groups’ works together into a shared artistic representation of a more integrated future.

Olivia Dahl

Olivia Dahl is a sociologist and researcher in disability studies at the University of Copenhagen. She is particularly interested in the everyday lives of people with functional variations and disabilities, working within the field of crip-studies. Among other initiatives, Olivia Dahl has co-created the community “The School of Crip Poetry” in collaboration with author Caspar Eric, where they explore what happens when people in marginalized positions collectively write poetry about their lives.

Anna Walther

Anna Walther is a practicing artist who explores the intersection of sculpture, collaboration, and accessibility with a humorous perspective and critical sharpness. She is, among other things, the creator of the art project “Mapping Disability.”
