The Association of Integrated Dance in Denmark

Pourpose and vision for FIMD:

The union of integrated modern dance in Denmark (FIMD), is a voluntary, social and informative union, founded with the purpose of strengthening the knowlegde of and interest for integrated dance.

Integrated dance, as the word itself implies, can integrate people through dancing, therby bringing us closer to each other.

The vision of FIMD, is to create a greater sense of quality of life and integration, for a mixed group of people, with and without varying physical conditions, enabling us to move, express and create together, on the basis of our varying grounds.

FIMD wishes to offer movement possibilities through a non-competitive element. This is realized by informative workshops by internal and external teachers as well as the development and showings of performances

FIMD is based in Copenhagen, and our primary activities are centered here.

FIMD is developped from IDE, who’s artistic work aims to expand the conception of normality,

As well as working towards the possibility of offering equal opportunities for people with disabilities to dance, perform, & long term, to be able to study dance on eaqual terms with everyone else.

As a member of the association, you receive newsletters quarterly, it costs DKK 150 annually.
